.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 410 AM CDT Wed May 21 2025
Through mid next week...
The remainder of the week will be quite pleasant with slightly
cooler and drier conditions. Rain and storm chances will then
steadily increase this weekend into early next week as a warm front
lifts north. Initially, rain and storms should be more isolated
Saturday. Chances for storms will increase across the area by Sunday
and Monday in advance of a surface cold front. Can`t rule out severe
storms with this round as well with decent instability, and at least
some weak flow but shear may be on the weak side. Details will be
sorted out as we get closer. The cold front pushes through Tuesday
and ushers in more dry air in its wake. This front could possibly
stall near the Pine Belt/Coast as upper forcing ejects out and could
keep the unsettled weather into next week with daily rain
chances./SAS/
